Yesterday, Monday was a pretty interesting day. It started out at the school, when in the middle of teaching a new rhyme, my friend Nazarina came in and presented me with a saree from the school. It was so sweet, I started crying. I know how little they have here and I know what a burden purchasing a saree must be, that I was filled with tears of joy. As soon as the shirt is tailored I will wear it and take a picture to show. They want me to wear it my last day at the school so they can take a picture and always remember me. Everyone at the school is so incredibly sweet.

The elders also called Brayden to go out with them on "transfers". They went and visited a sister who had a birthday. Of course they brought a cake and one of the elders asked if I would come inside and sing and cut the cake with them. So, I did. We walked into this very humble home. The front area was about 7 feet by 10 feet and was the kitchen, a sitting area and a work space for preparing dinner, which is what one lady was doing on the ground. She was sitting, cutting vegetables on a piece of newspaper, on the cement ground. Another lady was sifting through a lid full of rice, picking out what she didn't want to cook with it. We continued to walk about 5 feet through a doorway and sat on a bed, the floor and two plastic chairs that were brought in. We sang 'Happy Birthday', she blew out the candles and we had cake. What was interesting was the way in which the cake was dispersed. The birthday girl cut a small piece of cake, fed it to her mother, gave the piece to her mother then her mother fed the piece back to her. Everyone that was given a piece of cake then proceeded to feed the birthday girl a piece of their own cake. It was so very interesting to watch. When Brayden got his piece, she waved her hands and declined a bite. Note sure if she felt weirded out or thought we would feel weirded out.

After cake, the mom got all of us a sweet treat. Brayden was nervous to eat it, but it was fine.

Not sure what he's thinking in this picture
Brayden left with the missionaries and went to visit a few people. Here are pictures from the view of a 13 year old...
